Job Description:
Job information Accountant Hybrid from the Company David's Bridal, located in Conshohocken, PA, United States. This job opening requires a Bachelor Degree in Accounting.
Job Responsibility:

Purpose: The Accountant will be responsible for assisting in properly recording and accounting for business activities according to GAAP. Essential Functions include:

  • Partnering with third-party auditors on a quarterly and annual basis to review and resolve discrepancies and ensure compliance with all applicable accounting practices.
  • Setting up monthly meetings to determine monthly accruals and forecast for spend, and managing a $5-6 million dollar budget.
  • Assisting in monthly financial statement close, quarterly close, and annual close, and preparing reporting for quarterly and annual audits.
  • Preparing and posting General Ledger entries and supporting documentation for management's review.
  • Preparing and maintaining departmental cost center reports and communicating monthly with company department heads to discuss actual vs. forecast performance.
  • Preparing and maintaining monthly general ledger balance sheet reconciliations and resolving discrepancies.
  • Performing other accounting, financial, or administrative tasks as required.
  • Researching current and recent GAAP pronouncements.
Qualifications:
  • Education: BS in Accounting required.
  • Licenses / Certifications / Training: CPA Candidate preferred.
  • Years of related experience: 0 - 3 years.
  • Required skills & abilities: Interpersonal savvy, time management, technical learner, and problem-solving.
  • Travel Requirements: Minimal Travel Required (1 - 2x per year).
