Job Summary

Maintains accounting records for assigned department or college.Examines financial statements, records, and other financial reportsto confirm accuracy. Ensures statements and accounting recordscomply with current policies and procedures. Reviews processes to improve businesses efficiencies, recommends best-practices. Answersaccounting procedure questions by researching and interpretingaccounting policy and regulations. Maintains financial security by following internal controls and protocol. Provides financialsupport for assigned department, location, unit and/or college

Responsibilities
  • 1. Performs various processes using Accounting Financial Softwareand Microsoft Office Applications
  • 2. Reviews and reconciles financial transactions for assignedarea
  • 3. Performs data entry and agency reconciliation
  • 4. Audits statements to ensure accuracy, generates daily andmonthly reports to access agency or general ledgeraccounts
  • 5. Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents,assists faculty, staff and other campus partners with inquiriesrelated to agency and general ledger account transactions asneeded
  • 6. Produces scheduled and ad hoc financial reports
  • 7. Communicates and responds to inquiries, and proactively providestutorials and trainings as necessary, monitors unit emailaccount(s) to address customer queries and access submitteddocumentation
  • 8. Reviews, tracks and monitors submitted financial documents andverifies submissions are complete and correct and communicates withstakeholders as needed
  • 9. Identifies resolution to accounting issues and providesrecommendation and/or resolution
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of highereducation in Accounting or related field or an equivalentcombination of relevant education and/or experience

Required Experience

One (1) year of related work experience

Proposed Salary

The budgeted salary range is $51,600 to $54,100. Offersare based on relevant experience.
