Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or related field required.
• 3-5 years accounting or finance experience.
• Knowledge of Excel and Word, and email tools.
• Familiarity with AS400 and JD Edwards software are desirable.
• Preferred capabilities: background in Agriculture, advanced Excel skills
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, procedures, and application.
• High attention to detail and the ability to analyze data.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze general ledger journal entries; verify the accuracy of recorded accounting transactions, especially prepaids, other receivables, and intercompany payables.
• Update G/L and payroll files.
• Monthly garnishment entries and reconcile G/L accounts against levies schedule.
• Maintain all payroll accounting schedules and prepare monthly accruals, adjustments and reclasses.
• Manage payroll accounting and taxes.
• Identify and correct data integrity issues within ERP applications.
• Configure setup of new master data, including new account setup, AAI, and other reporting attributes.
• Ensure ERP data integrity across processes and interfaces; update mapping rules.
• Assist in GAAP compliance and financial statement preparation.
• Prepare and review tax returns and supporting documentation; manage sales tax filings.
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and reconcile subsidiary ledgers.
• Develop and analyze reports for monthly close and financial reporting cycles.
• Prepare ad-hoc accounting reports for management and quarterly corporate reports.
