Job summary

BeneSys in Troy, MI is seeking an Accountant to compile and maintain financial records and prepare reports for our clients. The role may require working under pressure to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities include bank reconciliations, trust account balance work, payroll processing, tax filings, and preparing year-end statements with auditor liaison. Full-time schedule with standard hours and potential for remote flexibility after probation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required.
• At least 3 years accounting experience required.

Responsibilities

• Complete bank reconciliations for multiple accounts and prepare journal entries.
• Balance month-end trust statements and record investment activity.
• Process payroll via Peachtree and/or QuickBooks modules; record monthly activity.
• Prepare and file quarterly and year-end tax reports; liaise with fund auditors.
• Prepare monthly journal summaries and review the general ledger.
• Monitor bank balances daily and manage transfers between accounts.
• Prepare year-end accruals and financial statements with footnotes as needed.
• Maintain attendance as an essential function of the job.
