Job summary

GEL Group, Inc. is seeking an Accountant to join our team in Charleston, SC. The Accountant will handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and generate reports, with emphasis on data analysis and financial statements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration preferred.
• 5 years accounting experience, or 3 years with a 2-year degree.
• Proficiency with advanced accounting software and technology platforms.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAGE 300 ERP, Deltek Vantagepoint).
• Familiarity with expense management tools (e.g., SAP Concur).
• Document management software (e.g., Revver).
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools, specifically Excel, and other analytical tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
• Reconcile bank and credit card accounts and prepare reports.
• Prepare financial statements and related workpapers.
• Data analysis and providing insightful financial reporting.
• Assist with automation opportunities and software upgrades.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
