Job summary

The GEL Group, Inc. is seeking an Accountant to join our Charleston, SC office. You will handle daily accounting tasks including AP/AR, bank reconciliations, data analysis, and reporting to support management.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration preferred.
Two-year technical degree plus three years accounting experience, or five years accounting experience.
Demonstrated proficiency with advanced accounting software and technology platforms.
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAGE 300 ERP, Deltek Vantagepoint).
Familiarity with expense management tools (e.g., SAP Concur).
Document management software (e.g., Revver).
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools, specifically Excel, and other analytical tools.

Responsibilities

Handle day-to-day accounting tasks including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Reconcile bank and credit card accounts and prepare financial statements.
Generate reports and perform data analysis.
Assist with automation opportunities and software upgrades.
Communicate with internal and external parties and maintain confidentiality.
