Job summary

CMT 1, Inc. is seeking an Accountant to support daily accounting and project financial activities in Charlotte, NC. The role welcomes recent graduates and entry-level candidates, with emphasis on learning construction and project accounting.

You will process invoices, track costs, assist with invoicing and payments, and help maintain AR/AP records under the Finance Manager's guidance. Strong Excel and office skills are required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices, employee expenses, and subcontractor payments.
• Track project costs, expenses, and job-related financial records.
• Assist with customer invoicing, progress billing, and payment tracking.
• Maintain accurate accounts payable and accounts receivable records.
• Review invoices, receipts, and supporting documentation for accuracy.
• Enter and maintain accounting information in QuickBooks, Contractor Foreman, and Excel.
• Assist the Finance Manager with month-end preparation, basic reports, and accounting documentation.
• Work with project managers, field teams, and vendors to resolve billing or documentation issues.
• Support tax, 1099, audit, and other accounting-related tasks as needed.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant to support daily accounting and project financial activities. Prior accounting experience is preferred, but recent graduates and entry-level candidates are welcome to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices, employee expenses, and subcontractor payments.
• Track project costs, expenses, and job-related financial records.
• Assist with customer invoicing, progress billing, and payment tracking.

• Construction or project accounting experience is a plus.
• English and Mandarin Chinese bilingual proficiency is preferred.

Prior accounting experience is preferred but not required. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.

Compensation & Growth

• $55,000–$82,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
• Training and guidance from the Finance Manager.
• Opportunity to grow into greater accounting responsibilities as experience develops.
