We are inviting applications for the role of Accountant, Commercial Accounting - Senior Manager – Swedish – Remote EMEA.

The Full-Time Staff Accountant, Commercial Accounting position is responsible for providing tactical and analytical support for the financial close process, primarily involving Oil Liquids and Natural Gas (mainly in the US). This role will collaborate closely with core accounting and commercial accounting departments and will mainly support the month-end close process through journal entries and general ledger account analysis.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the month-end close process.
• Complete various accounting duties such as daily cash posting, bank reconciliations, and other general ledger reconciliations on a monthly basis.
• Prepare sales tax returns for multiple states.
• Assist in preparing monthly and weekly inventory reconciliations.
• Liaise with internal and external auditors and assist in audits by gathering and summarizing requested documentation.
• Prepare bio certificates for external parties.
• Assist with terminal reconciliations.
• Work on special projects as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree (BS, BA, etc.) in Finance or Accounting
• Relevant experience (specify years)
• Understanding of the flow of information, system interactions (ETRM and ERP), and ability to highlight issues and concerns clearly.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
