We are inviting applications for the role of Accountant, Commercial Accounting – Domain Trainee – Norwegian – Remote EMEA.

The full-time Staff Accountant, Commercial Accounting position is responsible for providing tactical and analytical support for the financial close process, primarily involving Oil Liquids and Natural Gas (mainly in the US). This role will work closely with core accounting and commercial accounting departments and will mainly support the month-end close process through journal entries and general ledger account analysis.

Responsibilities

1. Assist with the month-end close process.
2. Perform various accounting duties such as daily cash posting, bank reconciliations, and other general ledger reconciliations monthly.
3. Prepare sales tax returns for multiple states.
4. Assist in preparing monthly and weekly inventory reconciliations.
5. Liaise with internal and external auditors and assist in audits by gathering and summarizing requested documentation.
6. Prepare bio certificates for external parties.
7. Assist with terminal reconciliations.
8. Work on special projects as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s Degree (BS, BA, etc.) in Finance or Accounting.
2. Relevant minimum years of experience.
3. Understanding of the flow of information, interaction of systems (ETRM and ERP), and ability to identify issues and concerns.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
