Job summary

Fremont-Wright, a full-service design and professional services firm with headquarters in Memphis, Tennessee, is seeking an experienced Accountant to join the centralized Accounting & Finance department. The role focuses on cash management, treasury, AP processing, and expense coding.

Reporting to the Director of Accounting, you will perform reconciliations, monitor cash positions, code invoices, support month-end accruals, and participate in process improvements and audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration with accounting concentration.
• 3+ years progressive accounting experience in multi-entity or multi-state environment.
• Analytical, detail-oriented, able to investigate discrepancies and propose solutions.
• Proficiency in Excel including large data sets, vlookups, pivots, basic formulas.
• Strong verbal and written communication; collaborative across departments.

Responsibilities

• Perform bank reconciliations for all company accounts and resolve items promptly.
• Monitor daily cash positions and report variances to the Director of Accounting.
• Process vendor invoices with three-way matching to POs and receiving docs.
• Reconcile AP subledger to G/L and resolve discrepancies.
• Code employee expense reports and corporate card transactions; ensure GL accuracy.
• Support month-end accruals related to AP and outstanding expenses.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations for cash, AP, and accrued liabilities.
• Participate in special projects, process improvements, audits, and analytics.
