Job summary

Wallick Communities, a 100% employee‑owned company with over 55 years in affordable housing, is seeking an Accountant for Cash and Accounts Payable in New Albany, Ohio. You will manage daily cash, banking activities and AP tasks to support communities and corporate operations.

Qualifications

Requires bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience.
Knowledge of real estate management and affordable housing preferred.
Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders.
Ability to question the status quo and suggest treasury improvements and controls.
Works well under pressure with tight timelines and shifting priorities.

Responsibilities

Lead bank account opening and due diligence processes.
Liaise with finance and accounting staff on cash positions, cash movements and cash flow projections.
Initiate wires, ACH and bank transfers, and appropriate deposits.
Identify daily cash activity and record as necessary.
Maintain bank account documentation and signatory updates.
Continuous improvement of reporting tools, database tools and metrics.
Automation of certain cash processes.
Work with utilities provider to ensure processing of invoices and vendor reconciliations.
Special or ad hoc projects as required.
