Job summary

Market America in Greensboro, NC is seeking a detail-oriented accountant to maintain records, prepare monthly financial statements, and provide analysis for affiliated entities. This in-office role supports the finance team through reconciliations, journal entries, and close processes.

You will analyze costs, revenues, and budgets, generate management reports, and help ensure accuracy and compliance with procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
• 2–4 years of experience in finance and accounting or equivalent.
• Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel, Word and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, examines, and analyzes accounting records, monthly financial statements, or other reports for accuracy and conformance.
• Maintains and reconciles all assigned general ledger accounts.
• Monitors and generates reports on cash balances for affiliated entities.
• Prepares journal entries and reconciles general ledgers for monthly close.
• Analyzes costs and revenues to project future revenues and expenses.
• Completes tasks in the monthly close process.
• Documents accounting procedures and controls; assists in compliance.
• Provides leadership to other accounting staff as needed.
