Auditing Pay Differential - 2.0% above base rate of pay. (ATC and HS only)
Certified Public Accountant Stipend - $750 annual CPA stipend for employees who attain and maintain a valid CPA License.

The eligible list established by this recruitment may also be used to fill vacancies in Special Districts Department. The Special Districts Department is a separate entity from San Bernardino County, and as such, compensation and benefits for their positions are set forth in a different compensation plan.
The salary for Special Districts (Accountant II (Special Districts)) is $63,148 - $91,436 annually (range 32).
Travel: A valid California Class C Driver License is required to carry out the essential job-related functions of this position. Mileage reimbursement and proof of automobile liability insurance must be maintained.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting along with governmental accounting/auditing experience and possess one of the following designations: California Certified Public Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Fraud Examiner or Certified Information Systems Auditor.
