Job summary

KSI Family of Brands is seeking an Accountant to support day-to-day accounting across multiple business units in Farmington Hills, MI. This role focuses on accounts receivable, assists with accounts payable, reconciliations, and month-end close activities under the Corporate Controller.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, with 2+ years of accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with NetSuite and Paycor.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• 2+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Proficiency in Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Index Match, etc.).
• Experience with NetSuite and Paycor preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices accurately and timely.
• Match invoices to purchase orders and item receipts to ensure proper authorization.
• Maintain vendor information within the accounting system.
• Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
• Support adherence to established AP processes and internal controls.
• Prepare and issue customer invoices across multiple business units.
• Process and record customer payments and daily cash receipts.
• Investigate and resolve billing issues promptly.
• Communicate with customers regarding outstanding balances and assist with collections.
• Support internal team members with billing-related questions.
• Assist with month-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Record and reconcile transactions for accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank accounts, and general ledger entries.
• Support annual financial reporting requirements and audits.
• Coordinate review and approval of corporate credit card transactions.
• Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and increase efficiency.
• Work cross-functionally with other departments to streamline accounting workflows and improve efficiency.
• Contribute to the enhancement of systems and processes, including the use of NetSuite ERP.
• Support the Controller with special projects, analyses, and ad hoc reporting as needed.
