Job summary

Cenergy International Services in Devens, MA is seeking an experienced Accountant Analyst to support a manufacturing operation. This role focuses on cost accounting, standard costing, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, internal controls and process improvement.

The ideal candidate will collaborate with Operations to understand costs, drive performance, automate reporting, and deliver accurate analyses using Excel macros and Power BI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
• 2–5 years of accounting experience, preferably with strong cost accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of standard costing and manufacturing accounting.
• Experience with P&L, Balance Sheet, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Experience with internal controls and compliance.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP; CAS/FAR knowledge is a plus.
• Manufacturing experience required; aerospace manufacturing experience preferred.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including macros.

Responsibilities

• Perform general and cost accounting activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
• Analyze standard costs, manufacturing costs, P&L, and Balance Sheet impacts.
• Prepare financial statements, management reports, and variance analysis.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting policies and GAAP.
• Partner with Operations to identify cost-reduction and process-improvement opportunities.
• Develop and implement financial reporting and process automation initiatives.
• Use advanced Excel, Excel macros, and Power BI to improve reporting and analysis.
• Investigate financial discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
• Support accounting system improvements and special projects.
• Present financial analysis and recommendations to management and business leaders.
