Refugees International (RI), a humanitarian advocacy organization that works to build a more welcoming world for refugees and displaced people, is looking for an Accountant to support the Director of Finance and Accounting. As a critical member of the Finance and Accounting team your duties will be the foundation of the organization’s successful financial management. You will record AP/AR and payroll into Sage Intacct accounting system according to GAAP compliance requirements. You will assist with journal voucher and general ledger maintenance, monthly closing, grant funded project tracking, reporting, and annual audits and 990 preparation.
You will be a strong candidate if you have experience in nonprofit accounting, have acute attention to detail, are adroit with numbers, and can juggle multiple duties successfully. This is a full-time position, based in our Washington, DC office. We encourage individuals with lived experience of displacement or forced migration to apply.
