This is a direct hire position offering a starting salary of $80-90,000 with the possibility of relocation.

Responsibilities

• Perform month-end close activities to complete close in a timely and accurate manner
• Perform monthly reconciliations including researching and resolving items
• Organize, update and secure financial records and documentation
• Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends
• Review and analyze financial statements for accuracy and explanations
• Prepares complex data-driven accounting analyses, estimates, and journal entries
• Support Payroll processing bi-monthly as needed
• Prepare various tax and licensing forms and renewals
• Maintains Fixed Assets schedules and depreciation
• Assist with wiring of Loan Fund wires as needed
• Assist with preparation and submission of tax items for external tax preparers
• Assist with Audit tasks and inquiries in a timely, accurate manner
• Maintain financial security by following internal accounting controls
• Contribute to our small team with a willingness to help with all activities including paying bills, filing, copying, customer service, etc. as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
• Minimum two years’ experience in accounting or a related field with strong mathematical and analytical skills
• Proficient/Advanced in Microsoft Excel
• Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to read and analyze financial reports
• Effective oral and written communication skills needed
• Ability to meet deadlines and multi-task in high-energy, fast-paced environment and work independently
• Attention to detail is critical
