Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking an experienced Accountant to join our finance team in Burnsville, MN on a contract basis. You will prepare and complete balance sheet reconciliations, maintain supporting schedules, and ensure all items are audit-ready.

You will analyze account activity for variances, prepare month-end journal entries, and collaborate with internal teams and our BPO provider to resolve issues. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of GL experience and proficiency with SAP and Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required.
• 5+ years of GL experience with focus on reconciliations.
• Experience with SAP or large ERP systems preferred.
• Proficient in Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables).

Job Title: Accountant

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Accountant to join our team and play a pivotal role in preparing and completing balance sheet reconciliations. You will ensure that reconciliations and supporting schedules are complete, accurate, and audit-ready by investigating and resolving any reconciling items. Your analytical skills will be crucial as you analyze account activity to identify unusual transactions or variances, prepare month-end journal entries, and collaborate with internal teams and our BPO provider to resolve accounting issues.

The company uses an older SAP instance but plans to upgrade in the future. You will work three days in the office in Burnsville, with flexibility as needed. This is a Contract position based out of Burnsville, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $60.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
