Lantmännen Unibake in Londerzeel is seeking an experienced Accountant to strengthen our Finance team. You will manage day-to-day accounting, close processes, and deliver high-quality reporting across entities in a fast-paced, international environment.

You hold a bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance and have 5+ years of experience. Strong MS Office skills and English fluency are essential for effective collaboration.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Solid understanding of bookkeeping principles and financial statements.
• Proficient with MS Office and accounting software.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting for one or more legal entities, including purchase invoices, supplier payments, general ledger accounts, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Handle monthly and yearly closing, prepare financial reports and statutory accounts, and support monthly forecasts and Group reporting.
• Prepare VAT, Intrastat, and CIT declarations and support audits to ensure full compliance.
• Continuously look for ways to improve accounting processes and help implement new tools.
• Collaborate across the business as a trusted contact for accounting questions and cross-functional projects.

You can get started right away

• You manage the day‑to‑day accounting for one or more legal entities, including purchase invoices, supplier payments, general ledger accounts, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• You take care of the monthly and yearly closing process, prepare financial reports and statutory accounts, and support monthly forecasts and Group reporting.
• You prepare VAT, Intrastat, and Corporate Income Tax (CIT) declarations and support both internal and external audits to ensure full compliance.
• You continuously look for ways to improve accounting processes, help implement new tools, and contribute to a more efficient Finance function.
• You work closely with colleagues across the business, acting as a trusted point of contact for accounting‑related questions and supporting cross‑functional projects.

• You hold a bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• You have at least 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• You have a solid understanding of bookkeeping principles and financial statements.
• You are a confident user of MS Office and have experience with accounting software.
• You are fluent in English, both spoken and written.
