Job summary

Aston Carter has an immediate opening for an Accountant in Saint Charles, Missouri. The role involves handling AR payments, processing credit card transactions, and preparing month-end journal entries in a fully onsite environment.

Qualified candidates will have 1–2 years of accounting experience and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field. Benefits are available for eligible temporary staff. The position is contract-based.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting.

Responsibilities

• Match, code, and post customer payments to Accounts Receivable ledger
• Process credit card payments
• Process monthly/quarterly general journal entries
• Prepare, examine, reconcile and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness.
• Manage G/L system including account maintenance, month/quarter end procedures, and account reconciliation.
• Analyze data and turn it into meaningful information (reports, recommendations, etc.).
• Assist with Item Maintenance requests
• Act as a business partner to commercial and operations personnel with expense reporting
• Maintain good internal control procedures to safeguard company assets in accordance with Financial Policy and US GAAP.
• Assist with process documentation review and financial documentation cleanup.

Job Type & Location

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
