Job summary

LVIS Corporation in Palo Alto, CA, seeks an experienced Accountant to manage core accounting functions and support day-to-day business operations. This role offers autonomy and a balanced mix of hands-on accounting and general operations.

You will own AP/AR and vendor management, run semi-monthly payroll, lead the monthly close, and help prepare quarterly packages while ensuring audit-ready records and smooth office operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or an Associate degree with relevant bookkeeping/operations experience
  • 3+ years of accounting experience
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks Online or similar ERP
  • Strong Excel skills including pivots and lookups

Responsibilities

  • Own Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and vendor management.
  • Execute semi-monthly payroll and assist with benefits administration.
  • Lead the month-end close process with journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Help prepare quarterly financial packages.
  • Manage expense report auditing and maintain audit-ready records.
  • Support day-to-day business operations and general office management.

About The Role

We are seeking a versatile Accountant to manage core accounting functions and support day-to-day business operations. This role is designed for a detail-oriented professional who takes pride in maintaining high standards of financial accuracy and operational efficiency. You will have a high degree of autonomy in managing your workflow and will play a critical role in supporting our internal infrastructure. This position offers a unique balance of hands-on accounting responsibilities and general business operations, making it ideal for someone who enjoys a varied workday and wants to be a key contributor within a streamlined, professional team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Full-Cycle Accounting: Own Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and vendor management.
  • Payroll & Benefits: Execute semi-monthly payroll and assist with employee benefits administration.
  • Monthly Close: Lead the month-end close process, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Quarterly Financial Packages: Help prepare quarterly reporting packages.
  • Compliance: Manage expense report auditing and ensure all financial records are organized and audit-ready.
  • Operations Support: Support day-to-day business operations, administrative coordination, and general office management as needed
Requirements
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance OR Associate degree with 3+ years of relevant bookkeeping/operations experience
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in accounting
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online or similar accounting ERP
    • Solid Excel skills (pivots, lookups, and data organization)
    • Familiarity with modern tools (e.g., Gusto, Bill.com, Slack)
  • Attributes: High integrity, extreme attention to detail, and a "no task is too small" attitude

Salary Range
  • Expected base salary range: $75,000 - $105,000 annually
