Job summary

Circle is seeking a qualified accountant to own end-to-end revenue and partnership accounting, ensuring accurate recognition, timely close, and full disclosures across customer incentives. You will collaborate with commercial, legal, tax, and data teams to define accounting requirements and strengthen internal controls.

In addition, you will design AI-enabled automation to reduce manual work while preserving governance and auditability; you will review ASC 606 applications, perform balance sheet

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounting or audit experience.
• Professional accounting qualification (CPA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and ASC 606, with hands-on experience in revenue recognition, partner incentives, variable consideration and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Familiarity with generative AI models (ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.) and prompt development.
• Experience with ERP systems and transaction subledgers and month/quarter close.

• Analyzing balance sheet and P&L movements, investigating anomalies and producing evidence-based commentary on key drivers.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

What You’ll Work On

• Owning month-end and quarter-end close for revenue and partnerships, including subledger reviews, exceptions, journals and reconciliations
• Analyzing balance sheet and P&L movements, investigating anomalies and producing evidence-based commentary on key drivers
• Developing understanding of commercial economics, contract terms and data flows to ensure transactions are complete and accurately reflected
• Reviewing customer and partner arrangements and applying ASC 606 and US GAAP to incentives, revenue sharing and non-standard terms
• Designing and implementing AI-driven automation and process improvements using tools like ChatGPT and Gemini to reduce manual work while preserving human oversight and auditability

Core Requirements

What you’ll bring to Circle:

• 2+ years of relevant accounting or audit experience
• Professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent)
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, especially ASC 606, with hands‑on experience in revenue recognition, partner incentives, variable consideration and balance sheet reconciliations
• Familiarity with generative AI models (ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.) and prompt development

Preferred Requirements

• Experience with ERP systems and transaction subledgers (Oracle or similar) and month/quarter close activities
• Experience/familiarity with Slack, Apple MacOS and GSuite

Base Pay Range: $86,000 - $117,500
