Corner Table Restaurants is hiring a Corporate Staff Accountant to join our finance team in New York. You will support monthly and year-end close, prepare journals for prepaids and accruals, and maintain audit trails.

The role covers daily banking reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliation, review of general ledger expenses with operations, CPA reviews, and supervising accounting staff as needed. Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
• Experience with ERP systems and databases.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly and year-end close.
• Prepare monthly journal entries for prepaids and accruals.

• Review GL expense coding with operations.

THE POSITION: CORPORATE STAFF ACCOUNTANT

• Assist with Monthly and Year-end accounting close.
• Prepare monthly journal entries of prepaids and accruals.
• Maintain accurate and organized audit trail of all month-end related tasks for the company.
• Daily banking reconciliations and credit card transaction review for all restaurant locations.
• Maintain detailed reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts.
• Review and audit accuracy coding of all general ledger coded expenses with the operations team.
• Assist with maintaining accurate files for the accounting department.
• Verify accounts by reconciling statements and transactions on a regular basis.
• Assist in Quarterly & Annual 3rd party CPA reviews.
• Supervise Accounting Staff members as assigned.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned by company senior leadership.

The base pay range for this position is $85,000-$100,000 per year. The determination of what a specific employee in this job classification is paid within the range depends on several factors, including but not limited to prior employment history/job-related knowledge, qualifications, and skills, etc.
