Job summary

Paramount Pictures is seeking an Accountant to support studio accounting processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and close activities. The role reports to the Director Accounting and collaborates with the LA-based team to ensure timely and accurate deliverables for both Studio and Corporate units.

The ideal candidate has 2-3+ years of accounting experience, a relevant degree, and strong Excel skills, with knowledge of SAP or Oracle Fusion being a plus.

Qualifications

• 2-3+ years of experience in accounting/finance
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance/Business or related field
• Strong Excel skills and ability to work with large data sets

Responsibilities

• Prepare and park monthly and quarterly journal entries and reclasses as required.
• Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and resolve issues.
• Assist in month/quarter close tasks to ensure timeliness and accuracy of deliverables for Studio and Corporate Business Units.
• Coordinate with Director Accounting and LA-based team to meet deadlines.
• Support audits and transition activities as needed.

The Accountant position is responsible for supporting Studio accounting processes including (but not limited to) preparing and parking journals entries, preparing various reports and balance sheet reconciliations.
