Job summary

Mouser is seeking a skilled accountant in Mansfield, TX, to manage journal entries, reconcile G/L accounts, and handle multi-currency transactions. The role requires strong analytical ability for month-end close and variance analysis, with experience in Excel and PowerPoint to prepare reports and communications.

The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and at least two years of accounting experience; CPA is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and entering journal entries as well as reconcile the respective general ledger accounts.
• Recording transactions in foreign currencies and calculating exchange gain/loss.
• Ability to perform advanced financial and variance analysis for month-end close inquiries.
• Calculate and record accruals/prepayments.
• Communicate effectively with international branches including reporting from our offices worldwide.
• Create detailed spreadsheets, write reports, and prepare procedural manuals.
• Assist with month-end close tasks.
• Establish and maintain relationships with staff, vendors, and other business contacts.

ACCOUNTABILITIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Preparing and entering journal entries as well as reconcile the respective general ledger accounts
• Recording transactions in foreign currencies and calculating exchange gain/loss
• Ability to perform advanced financial and variance analysis in order to respond to management questions during month-end close
• Calculate and record accruals/prepayments
• Communicate effectively with international branches including reporting from our offices worldwide
• Create detailed spreadsheets to convey financial information, write reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals
• Assist with month-end close tasks
• Possess a working knowledge of company policies, procedures, and systems. Expands knowledge of accounting processes utilizing all available resources
• Establishes and maintains effective relationships with staff, vendors, and other business contacts
• Responds timely to requests or issues; provides complete information and/or resolution

SKILLS & CERTIFICATIONS

• CPA license a plus
• PC experience in a Microsoft Windows environment with an advanced knowledge of Excel and Power Point preferred. Able to type data and use PC for long periods of time
