City Wide Facility Solutions in Lenexa, KS is seeking an Accountant to handle timely financial transactions across AR, AP, payroll and reconciliations with strict GAAP adherence. You’ll support monthly closes, prepare reports, and maintain internal controls.

A proactive, detail‑oriented approach is essential. The position is full-time, on-site with competitive benefits and a base salary of $65,000–$75,000 plus a 3% annual bonus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA or actively working toward a CPA is a plus.
• Minimum of 2–5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Detail-oriented and accurate with strong internal controls.
• Proactive problem-solver who addresses issues before they escalate.
• Proficiency in Outlook and Excel; experience with automated accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Record, review, and maintain accurate general ledger activity in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
• Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, and intercompany transactions.
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items promptly.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes with timely execution.
• Assist in preparation of internal financial reporting packages.
• Maintain and monitor internal controls to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
• Support audit requests and provide documentation for auditors and tax advisors.
• Manage fixed assets and other corporate accounting schedules.
• Assist with system enhancements, process improvements, and automation initiatives.

The Accountant is responsible for recording timely and accurate financial transactions for Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Account Reconciliations, and Financial Statements. This is a hands‑on role for someone who enjoys precise, methodical work within established systems and procedures, and who takes satisfaction in getting the details right every time.

What You'll Do
