Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accountant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing multiple companies, responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts receivable/payable, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role is essential for supporting our financial operations and providing valuable insights into our financial health. It is a remote position with in-house training and monthly meetings.

Duties:

1. Manage accounts payable and receivable, including processing payments to vendors and ensuring timely invoicing and collection from customers.
2. Perform calculations and integration of closing journal entries.
3. Conduct account analysis to monitor financial performance and identify trends.
4. Utilize technical accounting skills to prepare financial statements and reports.
5. Maintain accurate records using QuickBooks and other applications.
6. Complete and file sales tax and VAT returns monthly and quarterly.
7. Support double-entry bookkeeping practices to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
8. Reconcile bank statements with internal records to ensure accuracy.
9. Perform basic administrative tasks like filing and record-keeping.

Skills:

• Strong Accounting Knowledge: Solid foundation in accounting principles, including double-entry bookkeeping, revenue recognition, prepaid expenses, allocations, and accruals.
