Job summary

Tech9 is seeking an Accountant to support the Tim Tebow Foundation and related entities. You will enter contributions, reconciling donor data with the general ledger, and prepare monthly financial statements for management review.

The role involves processing donations and payments, assisting with audits and annual tax forms, and supporting staff with accounting procedures. Strong Excel skills and confidentiality are essential in this trusted finance team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; accounting preferred.
• Critical thinker, organized, and detail oriented.
• Intermediate or advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Discretion and confidentiality.
• CPA certification preferred.
• NetSuite experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare donation deposits, enter donations into donor database, and reconcile donations between donor database and general ledger.
• Process payments including entry into accounting and banking systems.
• Ensure all required records are obtained and properly filed.
• Complete month-end account reconciliations and journal entries.
• Prepare monthly financial statements for management review.
• Prepare annual 1099s and donor letters for tax purposes.
• Pull supporting data for annual audit and 990.
• Monitor the shared finance inbox.
• Assist staff with accounting procedures.
• Assist with fixed asset and inventory tracking.
• Assist with donor event reconciliations and estimated FMVs received.
• Seek opportunities to improve accuracy and efficiency of finance-related processes and procedures.

Reporting Relationship: This position will report to the Director of Accounting Operations.Purpose: The Accountant will enter contributions, disbursements, and journal entries into the accounting system and prepare monthly reconciliations and financial statements for the Tim Tebow Foundation and its related entities.
