Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking an experienced contract accounting professional for an Irvine, CA role. You will lead month-end close, prepare journal entries, and manage reconciliations for projects and manufacturing costs.

Responsibilities include AR and project billing support, cost analyses, and cross-functional collaboration with international teams. This onsite, temporary position offers comprehensive benefits and a 40–45 USD hourly rate with a closing date of Aug 27, 2026.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a project-based and/or manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience with a medium-large ERP system.
• Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and reconciliations.
• Solid understanding of cost accounting.
• Experience with project accounting and billing, preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally and with international teams.

• Prepare and maintain month-end reconciliations related to inventory, projects, and manufacturing costs.
• Assist, guide, and act as a key accounting contact for the AP processor located in Australia, particularly during month end.
• Collaborate with operations and project teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Identify process improvement opportunities within accounting and close procedures.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Irvine, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
