Job summary

Herc Rentals Inc. is seeking a Staff Accountant in the United States (Florida) to support financial reporting and analysis. You will prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, and assist with process improvements while maintaining internal controls.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, CPA is preferred, and up to three years of accounting experience, including public accounting exposure. Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits are offered.

• Maintains records and files

• Gathers information from the general ledger, financial systems and other department reports to prepare reports to be distributed within and outside of accounting
• Analyzes information by developing spreadsheet reports, verifying information
• Adheres to internal controls within applicable accounting processes
• Project work as assigned

Job Purpose

The Staff Accountant will provide management with financial information by researching and analyzing accounts, preparing journal entries and account reconciliations. The candidate will also be involved in various projects as assigned and assisting with continuous process improvements.

Requirements

• Ability to identify improvement opportunities within processes to improve efficiency and accuracy

Pay Range: $60,000 - $70,000
