The role maintains daily, weekly, and monthly postings in the accounting software, performs account reconciliations, and supports month-end close and intercompany activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from a four‑year college or university.

Responsibilities

• Analyze daily, month-end, and year-end activity of income statement and balance sheet accounts by performing periodic audits to ensure correct financial information through general ledger entries.
• Prepare journal entries to maintain correct allocations for multiple-company financial information.
• Reconcile bank accounts and post bank activity; maintain companies’ financial assets and perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations to the general ledger.
• Reconcile monthly intercompany accounts for subsidiaries and affiliated companies for accounts receivable and accounts payable.
• Prepare related miscellaneous charges or credits.
• Assist the Accounting Supervisor/Controller with invoicing and collection of accounts receivable.
• Assist in closing system modules for month-end.
• Assist in general accounting as deemed necessary by the Accounting Supervisor; cross-train in other accounting areas to provide backup when necessary.
