Qualifications

You are helping make sure every transaction tells the right financial story.The Accountant role at Whistle Express is responsible for supporting recurring accounting activities, reconciliations, journal entries, and analysis that help ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. This role works across lease accounting, fixed assets, revenue, and general ledger processes.At this level, success is measured by consistent execution, accurate account support, timely close deliverables, clear documentation, and the ability to resolve routine accounting issues with ownership and follow-through.What You’ll DoClose, Reconciliations, and Account SupportPrepare journal entries, account reconciliations, rollforwards, and schedules as part of the monthly close process.Review assigned account activity, investigate variances, and ensure balances are supported and complete.Maintain organized support for recurring entries, reconciliations, and schedules so close work is repeatable and audit-ready.Support audit requests, process documentation, issue resolution, and continuous improvement across assigned accounting areas.Lease, Fixed Asset, and Revenue AccountingSupport lease accounting activities by tracking lease information, preparing monthly entries, and reconciling lease-related balances.Maintain fixed asset records, support asset additions and disposals, record depreciation, and reconcile fixed asset accounts.Assist with revenue accounting, including revenue review, reconciliation, entry preparation, and follow-up on unusual or incomplete activity.Partner with Accounting teammates to keep lease, asset, and revenue records accurate, supported, and ready for review.Where you Lead, Shape & EscalateLead:Assigned reconciliations, journal entries, close tasks, supporting schedules, lease accounting support, fixed asset activity, revenue accounting support, and account research.Shape:Recurring accounting routines, reconciliation quality, documentation standards, close support processes, lease and asset tracking, revenue review support, and issue resolution practices.Escalate:Unreconciled balances, missing support, unusual account activity, lease or fixed asset discrepancies, revenue exceptions, system issues, or deadlines that may affect close accuracy.What We’re Looking ForWe are looking for an accountant who brings accuracy, curiosity, and ownership to the monthly accounting process.2 to 4 or more years of accounting, general ledger, reconciliations, fixed assets, lease accounting, revenue accounting, or related experience.Working knowledge of journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, supporting schedules, and monthly close routines.Experience with lease accounting, fixed assets, revenue accounting, ERP systems, or multi-site businesses preferred.Strong Excel, organization, documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.Accurate accounting depends on consistent follow-through.If you are ready to bring structure, accuracy, and ownership to a growing accounting function, we want to hear from you.Base Pay Range$75,000.00 - $100,000.00
