Job summary

The Planet Group in Boonton, NJ seeks an experienced accounting professional to lead G/L accounting and intercompany reporting, ensuring accuracy and timely leadership reviews.

You will manage interco billing, monthly accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, fixed assets, bank recon, tax payments, and treasury tasks including wires, cash forecasting and P-cards. A proactive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn are essential.

Responsibilities

• Execute full reconciliation of Intercompany Charges with subsidiaries.
• Prepare Day 1 and Day 2 Intercompany reporting for leadership review.
• Manage Interco Billing and assume ownership of uploads for invoicing.
• Process monthly accrual journal entries and maintain balance sheet reconciliations (A/P, Prepaids, Legal/Audit).
• Reconcile operating and disbursement bank accounts (Citibank/HSBC).
• Manage fixed asset lifecycle: enter new assets, run monthly depreciation, and tie subledger to G/L.

G/L Accounting & Reporting

• Execute full reconciliation of Intercompany Charges with subsidiaries.

Tax Compliance

• Process monthly tax accrual journal entries.
• Execute Federal and State tax payments via online portals.
• Manage Sales/Use tax filings for the Holding Corporation in partnership with BDO.
• File OHIO CAT Tax.

Treasury Operations

• Administer HSBC P-cards (creation and maintenance).
• Serve as primary backup for critical treasury functions: Wires/E-payments, Cash Forecasting, ULC Drawdowns, and Netting.
