Job summary

Automation Personnel Services seeks an Accountant for a company based in Tuscaloosa, AL. The role carries a pay rate of $100k to $120k per year, with a Monday–Friday schedule. You will prepare financial statements, manage AP/AR, and assist with tax compliance and budgets.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance, a CPA (preferred), and experience with major accounting systems such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or Xero, along with strong GAAP/IFRS knowledge.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of GAAP or IFRS.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable/receivable, reconcile bank statements, and record daily transactions.
• Compute taxes, prepare returns, and ensure IRS compliance.
• Collaborate with management to create annual budgets, forecast costs, and evaluate performance.

Accountant

Automation Personnel Services is looking for an Accountant for a company based in Tuscaloosa, AL.

Pay Rate: $100k to 120k per year

Schedule and Hours: Monday through Friday, 8 00 am to 5 00 pm.

Accountant Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare and publish accurate financial statements (balance sheets, profit and loss, cash flow).
• Manage accounts payable/receivable, reconcile bank statements, and record daily transactions.
• Compute taxes, prepare returns, and ensure compliance with IRS and other tax regulations.
• Collaborate with management to create annual budgets, forecast future costs, and evaluate financial performance.

Accountant Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related business field.
• Many roles require or prefer a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential.
• Strong knowledge of accounting systems like QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or Xero, along with advanced spreadsheet skills.
• In depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles or International Financial Reporting Standards.
