W2 Communications, a PR and digital marketing firm, is hiring an Account Supervisor for the public sector division serving technology companies and government agencies in the Washington, DC metro area.

You will lead strategic communications, guide media strategy, and mentor junior staff while coordinating with digital marketing and creative teams to deliver cross-functional campaigns.

Qualifications

Job Summary

W2 Communications, an integrated public relations and digital marketing firm, is hiring an Account Supervisor to support public relations activities for our public sector division (supporting technology companies and systems integrators that sell to Federal and State & Local Agencies).

Applicants should be located in the Washington, D.C.-metro area, have experience successfully creating and delivering communications, media and thought-leadership campaigns in the technology, business-to-government (B2G) market and/or government communications. It is a ‘hands-on’ role that requires strategic insight paired with team collaboration to run successful campaigns.

This position plays an integral role in the firm’s strategic public relations, social media and content creation offerings. In addition, this role works across and coordinates with our digital marketing and creative services teams.

• Overseeing implementation of strategic communications initiatives, including media relations and content placement
• Continuous research and reading of relevant publications and topics to stay abreast of government technology news and trends
• Supporting leadership with client media strategy, metrics and reporting

Requirements:

• BA/BS degree or equivalent working experience.
• Experience (3-7 years) in public relations, corporate communications.
• Minimum of one year of experience in the B2G space or government communications space, with a focus on technology
• Experience crafting, pitching and placing stories and content in external government-focused publications/outlets
• Ability to work efficiently and accurately (both independently and with a team) in a fast-paced environment, while exhibiting patience, diplomacy and maintaining a sense of humor
