Fastenal Co. is seeking a Full-time Account Specialist for our branch at 1530 NW 5th St, Richmond, IN 47374.

You will develop and execute sales plans in the local territory, support the branch’s key accounts, and grow an assigned book of business while working with customers to match products and solutions to their needs. This role emphasizes relationship-building, strong communication, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must possess a current valid driver’s license and meet driving-record requirements to use a company vehicle.
• Degree in Business/Marketing or related industry experience with knowledge of the local market.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities.
• Strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills.
• Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented.
• Able to learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Lift, slide, carry and lower packages 25–50 lbs and up to 75 lbs.
• Pass drug screen (US, Puerto Rico, Guam).
• Pass a background check as required by customer/contract served by this location.

OVERVIEW

Elevate your career as a Full-time Account Specialist, where you can take your sales and customer service skills to the next level. You'll be on the front lines of growing and supporting our branch key accounts, through building relationships and matching products and solutions to customer needs. This position is for our branch located at 1530 NW 5th St, Richmond, IN 47374.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Developing and executing a sales plan in a local territory to reach and exceed sales goals

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

• 18 years of age or older
• Possess a current full valid driver's license issued in the country where the job is located (including successful completion of any applicable graduated license program for your state or province) as well as the ability to meet our driving record requirements to use a company vehicle, as needed
• Possess or are working towards a degree in Business/Marketing OR have related industry experience and knowledge of the local market
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite
• Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
