Job summary

Brixmor Property Group is seeking an Account Specialist to manage delinquent accounts receivable and communicate with shopping center tenants. You will work closely with property managers, leasing managers, retailers, and accountants to collect payments and resolve issues.

The role emphasizes reconciling accounts, reporting receivables, and offering bad debt recommendations, with a hybrid schedule (office first three days, remote optional) and a competitive pay package.

Qualifications

• College degree preferred.
• Reconciling of accounts receivable.
• Requires 2+ yrs experience in real estate.
• Excellent computer skills.
• Above average experience with MS Office and Excel.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Solid time management skills with ability to prioritize and successfully balance multiple tasks and requests
• Self starter; able to work with minimal direction in a high-pressure environment.
• Effective interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Accounting and JD Edwards knowledge a plus.

• Work closely with property managers, leasing managers, retailers, and accountants.
• Contact retail tenants on a daily basis for payment.
• Resolve delinquent payment issues.
• Send out default notices.
• Reconcile retail tenant accounts, write offs etc.
• Generate various receivables reports.
• Provide bad debt recommendations.
