HilltopSecurities is seeking an Account Services Representative for its Government Investment Pool Division. The role supports cities, school districts, counties, and other government participants through enrollment, onboarding, and ongoing account maintenance.

Responsibilities include processing paperwork, setting up accounts, updating wiring/ACH details, managing user access, and generating reports. Strong data entry, writing, and multitasking skills are essential in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Background in banking with 3–5 years’ experience.
  • Accurate and timely data entry with attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and writing skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a high-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SharePoint.

Responsibilities

  • Process account paperwork for new and existing participants for local government investment pool.
  • Set up new accounts, update wiring/ACH information, and changes to authorized representatives.
  • Detailed data entry of account information into department databases and mainframe systems.
  • Assist participants with research requests and providing account reports.
  • Manage user access and reset online credentials; assist in periodic user reviews.
  • Assist the Funds Transfer Representative with inquiries via phone, email, fax, and online.
  • Prescreen participant policies and prepare certification letters for supervisory review.
  • Maintain participant files and prepare enrollment packets and binders.
  • Prepare monthly program newsletters and other department reports using Adobe InDesign and Harvard Graphics.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job description

The Account Services Representative for Government Investment Pool Division provides support to cities, school districts, counties, and other government entity participants. Primary responsibility is to assist prospective entities with the enrollment and onboarding process and current participants with any new account or account maintenance requests as well as any other account inquiries.

Responsibilities
  • Process account paperwork for new and existing participants for local government investment pool.
  • Work with clients to set up new accounts, update changes to bank wiring and ACH information, make changes to authorized account representatives as well as address any miscellaneous change.
  • Detailed data entry of account information to department’s database and mainframe systems
  • Assist participants with research requests and providing account reports as needed.
  • Work closely with online system security personnel to add, delete or modify user access, reset online credentials and assist in periodic user reviews.
  • Assist the Funds Transfer Representative in answering participant phone, email, fax and online inquiries.
  • Perform prescreening of participant and prospective participant investment policies and prepare certification letters for supervisory review as well as completion of client audit confirmations.
  • Maintain participant files, prepare enrollment packets and new participant electronic binders, distribute department mail, scan participant documentation and update account records, and assist with projects as assigned.
  • Preparation of monthly program newsletters and other department reports using Adobe InDesign and Harvard Graphics.
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Background in banking with 3-5 years’ experience particularly in new accounts and customer service.
  • Accurate and timely data entry skills are a must and attention to detail is critical.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and writing skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple concurrent tasks in a timely manner in a high paced environment
  • Computer skills required include Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
