Role Summary:

Reporting to the Operations and Customer Service Manager, the Account Representative plays a key role on the Business Development sales team. This proactive sales role involves growing existing customer accounts through regular contact via phone and other communication methods. The role includes assessing customer needs, providing product and service information, and maintaining strong customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Establish and strengthen relationships with sales and marketing teams.
  2. Contact customers and prospects to promote products via phone, email, etc.
  3. Create and track campaigns in CRM and other business software.
  4. Follow up post-sale on strategic accounts.
  5. Develop prospect accounts and coordinate with outside sales.
  6. Engage with customers based on dashboard notifications and contact creation.
  7. Train customers on online portals and websites.
  8. Suggest related or alternative products to increase orders, explaining features and benefits based on purchase history.
  9. Collaborate with marketing and product teams to provide relevant materials and support.
  10. Maintain accurate CRM data on accounts, contacts, and opportunities.
  11. Respond promptly to calls and emails from internal and external customers.
  12. Stay informed on current and new product offerings.
  13. Adhere to company policies and standards to ensure quality service.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Entry-level work experience
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Proficiency with MS Office; ability to learn new software; ability to identify focus products and reach customers effectively
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, capable of multitasking and adapting in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Physical and mental ability to perform essential functions with reasonable accommodations
  • Office environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years in sales, customer service, or related fields; experience with industrial or technical products and understanding of level, pressure, flow, temperature devices
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience with Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, and Salesloft
