Job summary

Dover Food Retail seeks an Account Representative to support customers, sales teams, and internal groups throughout the sales cycle. You will translate customer needs into internal demand while delivering exceptional service and ensuring feasibility of refrigeration-related specifications.

Ideal candidates bring 2+ years in account management or inside sales, strong communication skills, and experience in an OEM manufacturing environment. A business-focused associate degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in business or related field; 2-3 years’ experience in account management or inside sales.
• 2 years’ experience in an OEM manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare customer bid packages
• Determine customer product needs and upsell options
• Configure complex products in internal software to generate quotations
• Manage orders through the full sales cycle from quotes to installation
• Responsible for price quotations and orders
• Reconcile pricing discrepancies to confirm purchase orders
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product Management, Technical Support, Planning, TAG, and Production to determine feasibility of new products and configurations
• Partner with finance, shipping, and production to clear credit issues and maintain communication with customers, regional sales managers, and dealers
• Act as internal point of contact for account(s) inbound and outbound
• Collaborate with all internal departments regarding orders, specs, and opportunities
• Provide order status updates to external customers and dealers
• Participate in customer visits to contribute to presentations
• Create and maintain work instruction and customer specification documents
• Other duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for a self-motivated and detail-oriented individual to support our customers, sales teams, and internal teams to initiate front-end processes. This professional will take in all customer requirements and translate that information to organizational demand while delivering exceptional service throughout the customer journey. This role will interface with technical aspects of commercial refrigeration specifications.

What You’ll Be Responsible For In This Role

• Prepare customer bid packages
• Determine customer product needs such as suggesting upselling options, better margins, cost of products, product type, etc.
• Configure complex products within internal software to provide quotations to external customers, regional sales manager, and dealers
• Manage orders throughout the full sales cycle from quotes to equipment installation
• Responsible for price quotations and/or orders
• Reconcile pricing discrepancies to confirm purchase order
• Liaise with internal Engineering, Product Management, Technical Support, Planning, TAG, and Production to determine technical feasibility of new products and configuration options
  • Partner with finance, shipping, and production to clear credit issues and maintain communication with external customers, regional sales manager, and dealers
• Act as internal point of contact for account(s) incoming and outgoing conduit
  • Collaborate with all internal departments, answering questions regarding orders, customer specifications, and opportunities for assigned account(s)
  • Provide order status updates to external customers, regional sales managers, and dealers
• Participates in customer visits to contribute to presentations, process clarification, etc.
• Create and maintain general work instruction and customer specification documents for accounts
• Other duties as assigned

What are the basic qualifications?

• Associate’s degree in business related field or in lieu of education, 2-3 years’ experience in account management, customer service or inside sales
