Job summary

Schwarze Industries, Inc. is seeking an entry-level to intermediate accounting specialist to support daily financial operations within a manufacturing environment producing engineered equipment.

You will assist with AP, AR, GL maintenance, and routine reporting, ensuring accurate records and timely closes. Collaborate across procurement and operations, maintain organized records for audits, and help with cost tracking and asset/inventory entries as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 1–2 years accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred (manufacturing or industrial environment a plus).
• Basic knowledge of GAAP fundamentals.
• Experience with ERP systems (Sage, NetSuite, SAP or similar) preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and standard office software.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle confidential financial data responsibly.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable invoices, ensuring accuracy, proper coding, and approval compliance.
• Assist with accounts receivable billing, payment posting, and customer account reconciliation.
• Enter and maintain financial data in ERP/accounting systems (general ledger entries, journal entries, vendor records).
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies with procurement and operations teams.
• Support month-end and year-end close activities, including accrual preparation and reconciliations.
• Maintain organized financial records for audits and internal controls.
• Assist with cost tracking for manufacturing jobs, parts, and production expenses.
• Communicate with vendors and internal departments regarding billing and payment issues.
• Support fixed asset tracking and inventory-related accounting entries as needed.
• Perform administrative accounting tasks as assigned.

This role supports accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, and routine financial reporting activities to ensure accurate and timely financial records.
