Account Payable Clerk - FTC 2 months

If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you! Join our client as an Account Payable Clerk and play a key role in providing excellent finance support within the Finance and Operations directorate, focusing on financial records, processes, and procedures.

Key facts
  • Full-time, fixed-term contract for 2 months, with the possibility of extension
  • Primarily home-based, with weekly travel to Manchester (all travel costs reimbursed)
  • Salary: £27,000 p.a.

NB: this is an urgent role; candidates must be immediately available or on a very short notice period

The role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Communicating with suppliers regarding invoicing or payment queries
  • Processing purchase and sales invoices using the company's accounting system
  • Working with the finance team to implement and maintain finance systems and procedures
  • Reviewing and improving financial processes for control and compliance
  • Analyzing aged creditors and resolving outstanding creditor items
  • Supporting financial reporting, audits, and contract management
  • Updating supplier information in the financial system
  • Reconciliation of corporate cards and ensuring data security
The ideal candidate
Qualifications:
  • 5 GCSEs Grade A-C including Maths and English
  • AAT Level 4 (desirable)
Experience:
  • Office-based finance experience, at least 6 months in a finance department
Skills & Knowledge:
  • Intermediate MS Excel skills
  • Experience with NetSuite Oracle (desirable)
  • Clear communication and good interpersonal skills
Personal Qualities:
  • Integrity, efficiency, attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively
  • Professionalism in interactions with stakeholders
