Supply Relationship Manager
East Coast Region

Your Tasks:

This position will play a key enabling role in managing commercial operational activities, supply agreement processes and the conceptual development of supply models fulfilling our key customers' requirements. The role is embedded in the Global Industrial Business Operation group as part of the Global Key Account Management organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as SRM point of contact for assigned Global Key Accounts (GKA).
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with Key Accounts in alignment with the Global Key Account strategy around supply.
  • Serve as primary contact for communication between commercial phase / supply agreement customers and internal teams. Act as liaison for local and global customer requests for matters involving regulatory, quality, legal etc.
  • Coordinate and drive internal/external meetings to meet overall GKA governance requirements. Deliver timely and accurate meeting recaps and status reports.
  • As an integral part of the Key Account governance structure, you will take part in all relevant work stream meetings and report directly to Joint Steering Committees at C-Suite level.
  • Establish and conduct regular cadence calls with customers that include but are not limited to Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), contracts and renewal of contracts.
  • Assess and drive supply agreement opportunities and process. The role will be part of customer negotiations, internal pricing discussions, defining project milestones, processing and implementation of supply agreements, and the communication of essential content throughout the organization.
  • The role will perform quality control over agreements, as well as tracking recurring contractual events (forecast maintenance, pricing tiers, supply monitoring, project deadlines, etc.).
  • Contribute to conceptual development of corporate supply models of the future.
  • In close coordination with internal Supply Chain Management (SCM), Customer Service and other enabling divisions, the role will continuously strive for the highest level of service provided to the client
  • Uncover business opportunities and pass leads to Global Key Account Management, commercial and service organization as appropriate and assist new business opportunities within assigned accounts
  • Liaise with Global Client Services and Global Key Account Management to manage challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed
  • Create a positive environment by working collaboratively, energizing others and encouraging continuous process improvement from all subject matter experts involved
  • Liaising with Digital Business to contribute to Miltenyi Biotec’s Global E-Commerce road map and advertise digital products with our Key Accounts in the Supply Relation Excellence context.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field; Masters degree preferred; 5-8 years sales experience or in an operational excellence role, preferably in the field of Cell and Gene Therapy; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous Biotechnology research and development plus GMP experience
  • Experience in other technical customer facing roles such as technical support or applications scientist can be considered.
  • Must be proficient in a wide range of contract management skills, including maintenance of complex schedules, cross-team leadership, risk mitigation and internal / external communications.
  • Must be able to travel extensively domestic and internationally.

The anticipated base salary range has been established at $69,120 - $95,040/year. The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialization, skills, abilities, and training. The above salary range represents the Company’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. In addition to your salary, the Company offers a comprehensive benefits package including health, vision, and dental insurance, plus a 401(k) plan. All benefits are subject to eligibility requirements. Certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses or commissions.
