Job description

Account Manager, Starlink Strategic Connectivity

Hawthorne, CA

SpaceX was founded under the belief that a future where humanity is out exploring the stars is fundamentally more exciting than one where we are not. Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars.

The Starlink Enterprise Account Management team serves as the point of contact for Starlink’s growing base of enterprise customers from contract signature, through successful activation, ensuring all contract terms are fulfilled. Our ideal candidate is ambitious, highly motivated to connect the unconnected, and thrives in navigating complex, ambiguous challenges. You are passionate about leveraging technology for worldwide equity and possess strong leadership skills to inspire teams toward meaningful, scalable outcomes.

In this role, you will concentrate on social impact projects, building a strategy to make them financially sustainable, and implementing the ongoing path to customer success. Focus areas will include bridging digital divides in underserved communities, enabling education and healthcare in remote areas, and fostering economic inclusion—alongside initiatives with high human potential or strategic value to humanity.

Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of Strategic Connectivity accounts by building and managing the strategy to own the interface from contract signature onwards including onboarding, ongoing account management, and long‑term retention/growth of the relationship including social and humanitarian impact.
    • Delivering impeccable customer service at scale to underserved communities
    • Developing engagement strategy and content for underserved communities that enables continuous growth and self‑support
    • Building relationships to identify requirements and manage expectations
    • Collecting, communicating and championing customer feedback internally to influence and steer programmatic and technical development required to maintain and grow business
    • Maintaining a culture of extreme ownership to drive continuous growth and streamline process efficiency
  • Help define and shape the overall social impact narrative for Starlink, documenting compelling stories, case studies and reports that demonstrate measurable societal benefits, such as improved outcomes in education, healthcare and economic development in remote areas.
  • Manage strategic partnerships with key external stakeholders, including international aid organizations, philanthropic entities and regulatory bodies.
  • Define and advocate for internal policy changes that make social impact a foundational element of Starlink's culture, including training programs, resource allocation and performance incentives tied to impact goals that benefit humanity.
Basic Qualifications
  • 3+ years of consulting, project management or strategic planning experience
  • 2+ years in an external‑facing role managing vendors, commercial or government contracts, or business/enterprise customers
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated leadership in negotiations
  • Demonstrated ability to project‑manage multiple new products or programs from ideation to full‑scale implementation
  • Proven track record of defining and managing complex projects independently, with executive‑level oversight
  • Experience interpreting, negotiating and influencing technical requirements in high‑stakes environments
  • Experience managing multiple large‑scale projects and delivering under tight time, resource and geopolitical constraints
  • Excellent problem‑solving and investigative skills, with a history of uncovering root causes and driving systemic improvements
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including crafting executive‑level presentations, impact reports and narrative‑driven content
  • Exceptional empathy, active listening, resiliency and stakeholder management skills, particularly in diverse cultural or regional contexts
  • Ability to read, draft and negotiate complex contract documents, discerning requirements, deliverables and risks
Additional Requirements
  • Must be available to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed to support critical milestones or operations shifts
  • Must be willing to travel to other SpaceX offices, customer locations and international regions as needed
  • To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. lawful permanent resident, refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157 or asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
