Job description

OGT is a leading global provider of clinical and diagnostic genomic solutions. We believe in creating products and partnerships that enable clinicians to deliver personalised healthcare to patients and empower clinical researchers to develop the next generation of precision medicines.

We have an opportunity on our North American commercial team, reporting to our Sales Director for North America. This territory includes TX, OK, LA, AR, NM, AZ, CO, UT, WY, and MT, and all locations within these states will be considered for the right candidate.

Join our growing commercial team during an exciting period of expansion in the genomic space. The role involves sales management and development of OGT’s CytoSure aCGH family of products, SureSeq Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) products, and Cytocell FISH products. We seek a self-motivated, knowledgeable, confident, and goal-driven individual passionate about improving human healthcare.

Your duties will include:
  1. Developing and implementing sales and account plans to promote catalog and custom products, aiming to meet or exceed revenue targets within Cytogenetic, Molecular, and Pathology labs.
  2. Using technical knowledge and customer focus to sell OGT’s CytoSure aCGH products, SureSeq NGS products, and Cytocell FISH products.
  3. Managing ongoing opportunities and prospecting new customers using CRM, providing clear forecasts and pipeline development.
  4. Attending national conference exhibitions and hosting regional events to target customer audiences.
  5. Traveling regularly throughout the territory to ensure high levels of customer service and retention.
  6. Collaborating with Marketing and other team members to ensure excellent customer service within existing accounts.
What we’re looking for in you:
  1. A scientific degree such as B.Sc. in Molecular Biology, Cytogenetics, Human Genetics, or similar fields.
  2. Previous clinical, translational sales, and/or marketing experience with a proven track record, or strong sales aptitude.
  3. Extensive knowledge and experience with molecular genetics, cytogenetics, FISH technologies, applications, and markets.
  4. Excellent project and network management skills, with strong organizational abilities.
  5. Excellent written and spoken English, with clear and concise communication skills.
  6. Ability to work remotely from a home office.
  7. Detailed knowledge of DNA microarray, NGS, cytogenetics, molecular biology, and FISH techniques.
  8. At least 2 years’ lab experience, preferably within Cytogenetics, Molecular Genetics, or FISH.
  9. An extensive network of contacts within Cytogenetics, Molecular, and Pathology labs.
  10. Ability to empathize with a broad range of professionals within the cytogenetic/molecular genetic community.
