As an Account Manager, you play a pivotal role in executing the company’s strategic plans for global growth in the Food & Feed Safety Markets. Your responsibilities include developing new business to meet sales growth objectives. The core focus of your role is to explore and capitalize on new sales opportunities within your assigned territory, providing tailored customer solutions. This requires close collaboration with key departments, including R&D, Product Management, Operations, and Sales, to ensure a cohesive approach aligned with business goals.

This position is for our Romer Labs division, which offers innovative products and services covering mycotoxins, food pathogens, food allergens, gluten, GMO, veterinary drug residues, and melamine. www.romerlabs.com

Responsibilities:

  • Define and achieve annual sales targets through comprehensive business planning and sales strategies, focusing on new and existing markets.
  • Establish and expand direct sales accounts across industries such as food, processing, beverage, nutraceutical, agriculture, pet food, and laboratory markets.
  • Leverage strengths to identify and develop new opportunities aligned with the company's value proposition.
  • Support departments by contributing to company goals and participating in future strategic planning.
  • Identify and articulate sales solutions and competitive advantages to position effectively in the market.
  • Develop, manage, and nurture relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and Decision Makers, staying informed about regulatory compliance requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Business, or a related field (preferred).
  • 3+ years of sales experience in Food or Feed Safety diagnostics, with microbiology expertise (preferred).
  • Peanut industry network (preferred).
  • Proven success in generating new business and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong relationship-building skills to establish trust with clients.
  • Ability to travel approximately 70% within the territory and hold a valid driver’s license.

Residency Requirement: Residency in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, or Tennessee.

The salary range for this position is $80,000-$90,000, based on skills, experience, education, and location. The role is eligible for bonuses and benefits, not included in the base salary.
