Position Overview

Account Managers are responsible for promoting positive public awareness for the brands we represent within the practice areas we represent – Food & Beverage, Travel & Tourism, Lifestyle & Consumer Brands, Emerging Tech and Non-Profit/Cause Marketing. Individuals in an Account Manager role will act as subject matter experts of their respective niche.

Managers are expected to bring forward new ideas, opportunities and best practices within their area of specialty. They are also responsible for growing, shaping, and maintaining the strategies that fall within their area of expertise.

Specialty Overview


As an Earned Media and Influencer Activation Manager, you will execute strategy, project planning, and account management for our publicity/earned media initiatives, as well as strategic creator/influencer collaborations for our agency’s clients.

You will be responsible for translating and implementing our clients’ PR strategies into creative activations while also building relationships on behalf of the brands that we represent. You will use your expertise to craft publicity and influencer/creator deliverables that offer the greatest brand and business impact for our clients.

Publicity and Earned Media Proficiencies

  • Seasoned ability to guide clients towards publicity strategies that support their media coverage goals, and execute against the strategic plan created on behalf of the client.
  • Proven ability to deliver creative ideas to generate national, regional and local news coverage.
  • Excellent understanding of strategic media relations tactics, such as generating targeted media lists, fostering media relationships, developing strategic pitching plans, story creation, mining across traditional and emerging platforms for editorial opportunities, and measuring results against stated goals.
  • Proven ability to deliver creative ideas to generate national, regional and local news coverage.
  • Excellent skills in editorial content writing -- including press releases, news media pitches, articles, and all other publicity-related content materials.
  • Skilled at creating publicity timelines and pitch-specific goals, and monitoring progress to ensure success.
  • Highly proficient in traditional and evolving media relations reach and measurement tools, such as Cision, MuckRack, Quoted, etc.
  • Strong insight into industry best practices in publicity, earned media and content development; willingness to participate in PRSA and other industry groups to understand shifts in industry recommendations and discussions.
  • Strong understanding of creator/influencer space and the emerging ways to impact brand reach through these valuable partnerships.
  • Proven ability to manage influencer strategy and execution of campaign activations.
  • Seasoned ability to strategically research and identify influencers who are qualified to meet stated brand goals and deliverables.
  • Excellent at overseeing all facets of creator partnerships – including pitching them on collaborations, overseeing negotiations, and managing contracts, coordination and activation.
  • Proven ability to monitor, analyze and report against results related to partnerships and campaigns, and manage/track campaign budgets and spending.

Education, Experience

  • Education: Bachelor's degree (required) in relevant field (preferred).
  • Experience: 4+ years of relevant job experience ; 3+ years relevant agency experience
  • Fully-remote; 9-5 Eastern Standard Time office hours
  • Full-time, salaried; compensation commensurate with experience.

Salary Range: $80,000-$85,000

Location

This position is remote, but may require some travel to Butin Headquarters located in St. Simons Island, Georgia and client specific required travel. Hiring in states located in East Coast and Central time zone.

The pay range for this role is:

80,000 - 85,000 USD per year (Remote (United States))
