Job summary

Conner Strong & Buckelew is seeking an experienced Private Client Group professional to manage the High Net Worth client relationship, handling new and renewal submissions, marketing, rating and proposals, as well as applications and binder processes through to policy issuance.

You will provide prompt, accurate service to clients, sales representatives, insurance companies and internal contacts; develop renewal strategies, meet with clients as needed and participate in after-hours on-call

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • CPRM or CPRIA designation required or must be obtained within two years of hire.
  • Three to seven years minimum Private Client Group brokerage experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to develop and manage relationships across all levels within the organization.
  • Strong problem solving, interpersonal, analytical, verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Underwrite, market, and quote all lines of business for new client opportunities and renewals.
  • Prepare proposals and presentations for sales calls and renewals.
  • Create applications, binders, coverage summaries and related documents.
  • Coordinate new business and renewal checklists and liaise with producers and account executives.
  • Participate in account reconciliation for receivables management and maintain client relationships.
  • Develop renewal strategies and ensure alignment with client requests.

Responsible for managing and account servicing the High Net Worth client relationship including new and renewal business processes and rounding of accounts. Includes preparation of new business and renewal submissions including marketing, rating and proposals as well as the applications and binder process through to policy issuance. Provide prompt, accurate and courteous service to Customers, Sales Representatives, Insurance Companies and Internal contacts and other duties as directed.

  • Underwrite, market, quote all lines of business for new client opportunities as well as renewals including benchmarking of large renewals
  • Prepare proposal presentations for sales calls/renewals
  • Creation of Applications, Binders, Coverage Summaries, Broker of Record Forms, Proposal and Invoicing, Certificates, and Auto ID cards for accounts sold and/or renewed
  • Complete and update New Business and Renewal Checklists as applicable
  • Communicates with Producer and Account Executives, where applicable, on any issues/concerns impacting relevant prospect accounts
  • Participate in account reconciliation for receivables management
  • Maintains exceptional relationships with all levels of client’s decision makers in order to effectively consult and influence the client on insurance issues
  • Prepare client renewal strategy including proposals and presentations and ensure that they agree with client’s requests/requirements
  • Meet with client as necessary to review coverage information
  • Participate in after-hours on-call rotation as assigned
  • Remains current on industry trends and information, new product development, legislation, coverages and technology
  • Promote teamwork and commitment to department/corporate goals as well as professional standards

Other Functions
  • Pursue opportunities to expand coverage for existing accounts
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures such as maintaining client files, workflow, standards, processing and other guidelines including the Agency Management System - Sagitta and Document Management System-WorkSmart that conform to company standards
  • Attends various internal and external meetings, as required
  • Other duties, as assigned
Requirements
  • Valid Property and Casualty License
  • Valid Accident and Health License
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • CPRM or CPRIA Designation required or must be obtained within two years of date of hire.
  • Three to seven years (depending on experience and performance) minimum of Private Client Group Brokerage experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products; Word, Excel and PowerPoint required.
  • Self-starter, flexible and able to multi-task with minimal supervision.
  • Strong problem solving, interpersonal, analytical, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Document Management System (WorkSmart) preferred.
  • Knowledge of Agency Management Systems (Sagitta) preferred.
  • Ability to provide effective on-the-job training and to work flexible hours.
  • Ability to develop and manage key relationships at all levels within the Conner Strong organization along with outside Clients and Carriers.
  • Ability to work in an ever-changing organization / environment.
Compensation

Salary for this position ranges from $80,000.00 - $95,000.00. The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.

Qualifying positions will also be eligible for comprehensive benefits, such as participation in family medical and dental insurance programs, 401K plan, and PTO.

Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without Company sponsorship.
