Job summary

Ecolab Life Sciences in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking an Account Manager - Personal Care to drive growth with pharmaceutical and personal care manufacturers. You will develop strategic plans, deliver value-based cleaning and sanitizing solutions, and manage end-to-end customer programs.

This role combines field sales with technical expertise in GMP-related cleaning, regulatory compliance, and cross-functional collaboration to improve safety, quality, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree in engineering, chemistry, biology or related.
  • At least 2 years' experience in Pharmaceutical or Personal Care manufacturing.
  • CIP/COP operational experience.
  • Valid driver's license and clean Motor Vehicle Record (2 years).
  • Immigration sponsorship is not available for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strategic growth plans for new and existing customers.
  • Deliver programs and product-based solutions for cleaning and sanitizing using a results-driven approach.
  • Prepare and present total plant solutions for products, processes, and program changes.
  • Develop and manage execution plans with stakeholders and decision makers.
  • Build professional networks and leverage contacts to establish or maintain business.
  • Maintain trade and industrial association memberships.
  • Evaluate customer operations to identify efficiencies in time, cost, safety, and quality.
  • Provide GMP-related cleaning expertise and risk mitigation.
  • Ensure compliance with FDA and ISO regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal partners to generate site documentation.
  • Work with Regional Sales Manager to set goals.
  • Create tracking systems, presentations, and reports; report progress.
  • Communicate team activities and priorities to internal partners.

What You Will Do:
Business Development - 50%
  • Develop strategic growth plans for new and existing customers.
  • Deliver creative programs and product-based solutions for customer cleaning and sanitizing problems using a results-driven approach.
  • Prepare and present total plant solutions for products, processes, and program changesusing a compelling value-based approach.
  • Develop and manage a multi-faceted execution plan jointly with key stakeholders and decision makers leveraging all available resources.
  • Build strong professional networks and appropriately leverage contacts to establish and/or maintain business.
  • Maintain active membership with trade and industrial associations.
Account Management - 50%
  • Evaluate existing customer plant operations, business objectives, and regulatory guidelines to identify operational efficiencies related to time, cost, safety, and quality.
  • Provide expertise in cleanroom applications, contamination control solutions, and risk mitigation.
  • Provide technical expertise and understanding on the qualifications surrounding GMP related cleaning, cleaning process and company certification and validation services.
  • Ensure operational compliance with FDA, ISO, and any other applicable domestic and international regulations.
  • Work with internal partners to generate and (or) maintain new site process documentation e.g. Cleaning SOP's, and any site specific documentation requirements.
  • Work closely with the Regional Sales Manager to establish personal goals and objectives for sales and service performance.
  • Work with cross functional teams to develop tracking systems, presentations, and reports. Report on project status and team performance capability to cross functional team members and site leadership.
  • Effectively communicate team activities, progress, priorities, to internal partners.
Minimum Qualifications
  • BS/BA degree in engineering, chemistry, biology or related
  • 2 years' experience working in Pharmaceutical or Personal Care manufacturing, or Brewing/Fermentation
  • Clean In Place / Clean Out of Place (CIP / COP) operational experience
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record (2 years)

Preferred Qualifications
  • 2years' experience selling into the Pharmaceutical or Personal Care manufacturing
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including C-level executives.
  • Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs.
  • Experience working in or selling into regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range

The total Compensation range for this position is $118,600-$177,800 which includes base pay and target incentive based on performance, per plan terms. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
