Responsible for managing and coordinating business development and retention. The incumbent will interact daily at various levels within the customer’s organization.Understand andparticipatein resolving the technical and operational challenges with business opportunitiesandfully understand the strategic initiatives of theplant.
Duties andResponsibilities
- Ensureweretainbusinessthat is profitable,sustainableand collectable.
- Closelymonitoron-time delivery, qualitystatisticsand other service performance metrics with their assigned accounts.
- Prepare new business proposals using the OMS cost estimating and quoting tools.
- Coordinate or lead cost estimating activities with Manufacturing Analyst, Engineering or Plant Management.
- Collaboratewith any departments at the plant or corporate level to solve problems thatimpactthe ability to achieve strategicobjectiveswith the account.
- Collaboratewith management to determineappropriate pricinglevels for assigned accounts.
- Manage any breakdown in customer communications.
- Communicatesupply and price trendsto customers.
- Keep informedonnew products or services and other general information of interest to customers.
- Communicate to theorganizationsignificant developments with customers,marketsor industries.
- Assure thataccurateforecast dataisentered in ERPand/or S&OP.
- Mayassistor lead in creating formal presentationstocustomers.
- Mayassistor lead in the preparation and organization of the information needed to conduct the planned business review meetings with customers.
- Monitor adherence by OMS and the customer to contracts, supply agreements, or memorandum of understanding (MOU) and report to management.
- Assistothers, as needed,in the development of new business with existing customers.
- Collaboratewith the Sales team to develop an understanding of the customer’s position and product in themarket.
- CollaboratewithSupply Chain toassureappropriate supplyof raw material for customer demand.
- Plan and schedule customer visits as needed toaccomplishthese duties and responsibilities. Engage effectively in technical discussion with internal associates or our client’s personnel.
- Understand the financial performance of theplant.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills andQualifications
- Associates degree in related fieldpreferred.
- 3 or more yearsof relatedexperiencepreferred.
- Experience in using Microsoft office applications.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 20 lbs.as needed.
- Ability to bend, stand, climb,twistand stoop forextendedperiods of time.
- Ability to perform sedentary work including sitting for extended periodsof time.
- Ability tooperatestandard office equipment.
- Have good vision of 20/30 with corrective lenses.
- Ability tomaintaincoordination of hand and finger movements to grasp and manipulate objects with precision.
- Travelas needed toaccomplishdesired results. Overnight travel may berequiredoccasionally.
